The NSM PEERS Program is dedicated to improving student outcomes in high-enrollment, foundational courses such as biology and physics, which are required classes for many STEM majors. By providing innovative, hands-on learning experiences, peer-led instruction and targeted support, the program equips students to thrive early in their academic careers, laying the groundwork for long-term success.
The program has already impacted over 13,000 students by:
- Offering active learning components in freshman biology and physics courses.
- Offering workshops facilitated by trained peers to reinforce challenging concepts.
- Offering summer preparation through Foundations to Success in Organic Chemistry.
