The Cougar Spirit Cord is a symbol of your pride and a way to help make a difference as a graduating student.
Make a minimum donation of $10 (perhaps a gift in honor of your class, $20.24). Wear your cord in graduation photos, at Convocation and at University commencement ceremonies to show your Cougar Pride!
WHY SHOULD I GIVE BACK?
This year, all funds will go towards the Center for Student Empowerment (CSE).
(CSE) provides opportunities for the university's diverse student population by preventing minor obstacles from becoming major setbacks to degree achievement. The services that CSE offers have been strategically chosen to develop CSE students into well-trained career professionals.
WHY DOES GIVING MATTER?
Reflect on your time at UH. Many of the memories you hold dear were made possible by generous alumni and friends of UH. Their unwavering support passed down is what makes the cougar experience so special, such as spending time at the MD Anderson Library for a late-night study session and catching up with fellow classmates at the Student Center.
Giving to UH also funds scholarships to deserving students, creates knowledge via new technology and allows the University to attract and retain world-class faculty. Your giving also helps sustain the reputation of UH, and in turn, strengthens the value of your degree.
HOW DO I GET MY CORD?
After making your donation, you will receive information to pick up your cord along with fun ways to celebrate your graduation! Spirit Cords cannot be mailed at this time.
